Adventures
with Mother Earth's Nature Man....
When
I was a young boy growing up in New England, specifically the outskirts
of Boston, Mass. I used to leave my home early in the morning and not
return until the dark of night?wallowing through the woods and marshes
building tree houses and forts out of sticks and vines. I would marvel
at the wildlife somehow amazed but truly knowing deep inside how
precious this earth is and those who inhabit it are.
The amazing part of all of this was that I was somewhere between 5 years young and eternity.
When
I reach the ripe old age of 12 my father was transferred to Anchorage
Alaska?wow and wow again?it didn't take much getting used to, you know
the light of night in the summer and the dark of day in the winter and
of course the freezing cold winter months?Nah?I was a kid, I had no
choice but to make the best of it?and I did. I loved every bit of
it?But this was no ordinary land this was truly the last frontier? The
mountains were huge and majestic, the rivers were clear and swift, the
trees were tall and powerful and there were glaciers and seas, and
lakes and streams and beyond all of that the forests were so serene and
peaceful it was almost surreal?then add the moose and the bear and the
bald eagles and the salmon?you know just like you see in national
geographic explorer or on the discovery channel.it was all in the palm
of my hands for me to enjoy?and again I remind you that I was a young
boy? what an incredible way to grow up and learn all about the beauty
of nature and the earth?
And
so here I am some 30 years or so later sifting my way out of this
concrete jungle? But the city has a place in my heart, as does the world
at large. ?It has been very good to me during the course of my business
years and I won't soon forget, I have been fortunate in my life to
travel nationally to every corner of the states, including all 50 of
them and I have visited and traveled to more than 20 countries abroad,
however I have never forgotten where I came from and the San Bernardino
Mountains is where I call home. So in this Adventure portion of the
website I will keep you updated with some stories of my adventures as I
travel this great earth and continue to wallow in mother natures realm.
